Thinking about building your own Custom Computer

September 13, 2020 by Shane Foster

You want a system that isn’t available from a major manufacture is a good reason.  You want a system you built yourself because that is something you have always wanted to do.  Sure that’s a good reason as well.

Where to start.  Why not watch some online videos.  There are many and obviously you know how to use google or you wouldn’t be reading this page.

Next you need to decide what parts you are going to use.

Are they compatible, will they work together.  That’s good to know.  We recommend using PC Part Picker.  https://pcpartpicker.com/ It’s a great site that will automatically help you make sure that all of your parts will work together.   I don’t recommend using their links to buy the parts but it’s a good place to start.

If you want one of our experienced builders to look over your parts list and make suggestions we offer that for a flat $75.

You can tell us what you want to do with it and any concerns you have and we will give you the benefit of our knowledge and experience.   One thing we see quite often is that when doing your first build you end us spending way more than you need to in order to have a system that does what you want it to.

Once you have all of your parts it’s time to put it together.

Something that often happens on your 1st build or sometimes even on your 10th is it doesn’t work and when that happens what do you do.  You have invested a lot of time and effort and probably a fair amount of money and what do you do now.  Well this is where PC-Help comes in.  Bring it to us and we will help you sort out what the issue is.   Our diagnostic is $50 and we will give you a hand.

If you get all of the parts and decide that you don’t want to build it after all or just don’t have the time we charge a very reasonable $120 build fee.

Keep in mind you can have things go horribly wrong if you don’t get everything exactly correct and anything you break or burn up in the process don’t expect the place you bought it to give you your money back.  Here is a guy that is in the process of experiencing things not going his way for his new build:  https://gfycat.com/anothergoodnaturedkitten

If you haven’t worked with PC-Help before and are wondering if this is a reputable company.

Custom Built PCs

July 3, 2013 by PC-Help

If you are interested in current system availability call or stop by the store as it is constantly changing.  We try to update our Facebook shop online when we have time.   You can browse that information here: https://www.facebook.com/PCHelpTX/shop/

At PC-Help Custom computers really are custom.

When we build you a computer your priorities are our priorities.

We will put our quality, price and service up against any competitor!!

Want a budget system?  Tell us what you have to spend as well as what you want to do with it and we will show you the best option based on our knowledge and experience. Want a super fast cutting edge gaming system with all of the lights, bells and whistles?  We can do that and we won’t gouge you like some of the online services.  We also won’t take 2 months for you to get your new system.

Want to buy your own parts and just have someone else put it together so that it works…We will do that as well.  Our very reasonable $125 build fee is the lowest around for professional work.

You can talk directly to the guys building your system without all the hassle of a big company.

You have someone local for help and support.

Want your old system upgraded to get the most out of what you have already; sure we will do that as well.

When Digital Storms offers lifetime support it doesn’t say lifetime free support.   If you have a problem and it’s been more than 60 days since you purchased you are going to have to pay shipping fees to them and if for some reason your machine isn’t covered by the warranty you have 15 days to pay for some undisclosed test fee as well as return shipping or they dispose of your system.   Check it out here:  https://www.digitalstorm.com/warranty.asp

Digital Storms high end builds can run $4000+ and take 8 weeks to get.  At PC-Help you can get the same thing faster and cheaper with local support!

Check out some great custom build photos here

According to one review on Digital Storm’s yelp page (they have 3 stars) the shipping fee can be as much as $800 and that isn’t always made clear up front.   Check it out here.

Are you looking for a low cost gaming machine?   Check this out

We treat all of our customers like we would want to be treated.  The only time we dispose of customers computers is if it’s been more than a month since we have had contact with you and we truly believe you won’t be back.   When customers say they need some time or whatever we work with them.  Only a big company that doesn’t care about you would dispose of your system because you didn’t get them their money in 15 days.

For customers on a budget we have refurbished gaming systems that won’t break the bank as well.   When you’re thinking about a gaming system check out whoever you want then come see us for the best deal around.

Here is what one customer had to say about PC-Help and his new experience at PC-Help.

These guys are quick and professional! First they fixed my older gaming PC and upgraded it for me so i can give it to my brother to enjoy. After that they helped me build my brand new gaming PC and walked me through any questions i had about my setup. I don’t normally leave reviews but this place is that good. If i have any PC related issues in the future they have my business hands down. Thanks so much guys!

If you’re anywhere near northeast tarrant county come see us for your next custom computer and we will take good care of you.
