What is remote computer support?

Remote Computer Support is a powerful and easy way to get your computer repaired from the convenience of your own home. Using an internet connection, one of our Technicians can, with the user's permission, remotely take over a PC and run all the diagnostics and programs he could if he was actually there. You can even see the Tech at work, he can walk you through tasks and point out your problems to you right before your eyes.


How much does remote support cost?

Is Remote Support secure?

Yes! When a user logs in to a chat session, the Technician cannot access any of the user's computer unless the user specifically gives them permission. Once the user agrees to give the Technician control, he can then proceed to check the system and perform the needed diagnostics. All of this is done over an end-to-end 256-bit SSL encryption. This is the same security that major banks use!


Can you get back into my computer after my session is over?

No, once a session is closed, PC-Help cannot access your computer. If you wish for the Technician to be able to work again, you must restart the remote connection and give new permission to PC-Help.


Is Remote Support easy to use?

Yes. With basic computer skills, anyone can connect to our system. And with a simple phone call, we can walk you through the process.


Do you charge to diagnose my computer?

We offer a competitve Diagnostic charge of $29.95. See the online store for more details.


Can you provide remote support through a dial-up connection?

Yes we can. However, some tasks are better handled over a high-speed connection.
